Work Experience
at HDTWO Commercial Photography Studio
I started as a placement student at HDTWO, where I completed a year’s worth of experience for my university placement year. I’m now currently working there as a part time photographer and have been since April 2020 along-side finishing my photography degree.
'Sammie was employed full-time by HDTWO Commercial Photography from the period April 2019 to present.
From the initial meeting for her placement year from Huddersfield University I could tell Sammie had a great work ethic.

Her role as Studio Photographer included the use of professional studio camera (Phase one/Canon) and lighting equipment (Flash and Continuous) as well as image processing software (Capture One & Adobe Photoshop).
Sammie photographed a range of client’s products within the studio and location and always worked to the highest of standards.

A couple of examples of client work included, lifestyle garden shoot with use of professional Models for White Stores (Major online B2C retailer in Garden Furniture), Room-Set photography for Phoenox Textiles, (Rug Importer & Manufacturer) B2B supplier to Dunelm/Next/Matalan, images used on ecommerce sites.
With an excellent manner when liaising with clients she easily fits well within our team.
Sammie is confident, professional and friendly, always completed the task in hand and went beyond what was expected of her time and time again, I could always rely on 100% commitment.
From initial brief to dealing with clients, the photography and lighting, styling and post production. I am very proud and in only one year her skills have developed beyond my expectations.'

Yours Sincerely,
Adam Spencer

‘My name is Sheena Allen, and I work for Suma Wholefoods in Elland. Suma are a long-standing client of HDTWO, having between 6-8 shoots a year. As a result of this I met Sammie on her work experience about a year ago and have worked with her on numerous occasions since then.
I’ve always found her easy to get along with but professional in her work. She is always keen to help out and asks a lot of questions about what we’re doing so she can help and learn new skills.
A lot of what we do is food photography, which was new to Sammie, so she was interested in how we go about the cooking, styling and photography. She’s works well with the HDTWO team and clients alike, so she’ll be well missed when she goes back to university. She’s been a pleasure to work with. Hopefully our paths will cross again in the future.
Best of luck Sammie.’
