Styling

Styling is a skill that I have found a love for during my placement year at HDTWO. Along side knowing how to take the images, it is equally important as being able to style and prop a product to fit a certain criteria for a client.

All images on this page were taken by me at HDTWO commercial studio during my placement year, using their equipment, room set ups and guidance.

Room styling to create a lifestyle shot of a handmade mantle piece created by Natural Edge Designs.

Picking out backgrounds and props to fill up an image. For example, adding dried oranges and cinnamon sticks to make it feel christmasy.

Food proping on garden tables for a company called White Stores. Preparing items, for example burning lines into the food to create the illusion of them being cooked on the BBQ and adding fake ice and fruit slices to the drinks etc.

Styling and propping room sets that show the products in a way that gives the customers an idea to what the item may look in a certain environment.

For example, these small lifestyle room sets for Phoenox Rugs.

From adding pet accessories to a mat to show its for placing food bowls on to creating a nursery room for a set of different coloured soft cloud rugs.
